Social Media Intern
JAB Hoops is one of the fastest-growing youth basketball programs in the DFW area, built on our H.U.G.E. pillars: Humble, Unrelenting, Grateful, and Extra-Ordinary. We train athletes, build leaders, and create experiences that impact kids on and off the court.
We’re looking for a creative, social-savvy intern who lives and breathes trending content, and isn’t afraid to be courtside capturing the energy. If you want real experience managing social media for a large sports organization, this is it.
What You’ll Actually Do
Be in the gym. Capture real moments. Create content that moves.
This internship is hands-on and will require evening and weekend availability to capture photos, videos, stories, and reels from practices, games, and events.
You will:
Create trending social media content (Reels, TikTok-style edits, graphics, player spotlights, recap videos)
Build and manage our social media calendar
Cover games, practices, events, and behind-the-scenes moments
Who We’re Looking For
Someone who is:
Confident creating content using Instagram Reels, TikTok-style editing, Canva, and basic design tools
Obsessed with current social trends, transitions, audio, and storytelling formats
Organized and reliable with strong communication skills
Able to thrive in a fast-paced, startup-style environment
Passionate about sports, youth development, or basketball culture
Able to work evenings + weekends (most content happens then!)
Able to pass a background and reference check
Basketball knowledge is a major plus, but not required if you're coachable and hungry to learn.
What You’ll Gain
A real portfolio of high-impact sports content
Professional experience with a rapidly growing athletics organization
Mentorship from operations/marketing leadership
Exposure to youth sports, event marketing, and brand building
A role you can shape based on your creativity and ambition
