Luxury Resale Specialist

Role Overview:

As a Luxury Resale Specialist, you will be responsible for selling The Alloy Market’s inventory, including high-value, branded, scrap jewelry and bullion through direct, live selling and other resale channels such as eBay, Whatnot, Poshmark and TikTok. Your goal is to drive maximum resale value for these items.

This is a performance-based role with commission tied directly to the profit earned on each sale. The position is ideal for someone with a strong sales presence, comfortable on live video or social platforms, and a passion for turning high-quality items into higher-than-spot price returns.

What You’ll Do:

  • Sell Alloy’s resale eligible inventory via live and other digital channels
  • Maximize profit per item by targeting premium buyers, including clients and industry partners, beyond spot or melt value
  • Manage and merchandise inventory strategically for ongoing volume
  • Use your own personal brand for promotion
  • Drive traffic to and educate potential clients on Alloy’s services at strategically appropriate moments as determined by company leadership and receive affiliate commission
  • Work closely with our Metal Operations team to design, operationalize, and optimize internal processes and procedures
  • Maintain detailed records of sold items to allow for quick and accurate reconciliation

What We’re Looking For

  • Trustworthy & Discreet: You will handle precious metals and other high-value items daily, so integrity, discretion, and a clean background are essential. A background check is required.
  • Detail-Oriented & Process-Driven: You follow SOPs precisely and ensure accuracy in all tasks related to resale are followed and adhered to during working hours.
  • Reliable & Consistent: You show up on time, work efficiently, and ensure nothing slips through the cracks.
  • Accountability: You take ownership of your work and are willing to be measured and compensated on daily follow-through and sales volume.
  • Adaptable: While we have clear processes, you can adjust to changes as the company grows.
  • Basic Computer Skills: Comfortable using a computer for tracking shipments, inventory, and basic reporting, including using HubSpot CRM.
  • Valid Driver’s License & Reliable Transportation: This role may require occasional secure transport of metal goods; you must have a valid license and be comfortable with local driving if needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  • Proven jewelry sales experience whether in a jewelry store, e-commerce platform, or through independent/social media resale (e.g., luxury flipping).
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under the guidance of the Head of Operations and in a team environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and comfortable using various operational software tools, such as HubSpot CRM.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and concisely to both clients and internal teams.
  • Candidates that don't meet all qualifications are still encouraged to apply. If you have sales, social or live selling experience it's a huge plus. Also candidates with a background in jewelry, reselling or luxury retail could be a great fit for the role.

Hours: Flexible between the hours of 9am-5pm EST

Pay: Commission-based role (uncapped). Pay range listed is estimated based on past earnings. Option to do hourly based compensation as well based on preference.

Notes:

  • This role is not customer support or inbound sales—it’s focused entirely on outbound resale of Alloy’s retained inventory
  • You’ll initially operate under your personal brand, subject to change
  • Strong communication and sales instincts are critical to success

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract

Pay: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
