In this role, you’ll oversee live legal proceedings, administer oaths, capture testimony, and use digital tools to create accurate records—all while getting a front-row seat to how the legal system really works.

🎯 What You’ll Do

You’ll be the custodian of the record, ensuring legal proceedings are captured accurately and professionally. That includes:

🎙️ Run the Show (We Train You!)
 • Administer oaths to witnesses
 • Moderate depositions, hearings, and other legal proceedings—onsite or remote
 • Oversee the room with confidence and professionalism

💻 Tech + Recording
 • Set up, transport, and operate digital recording equipment
 • Capture high-fidelity audio of witness testimony and attorney questioning
 • Annotate case events and terminology for accurate transcripts

📝 Documentation & Research
 • Prepare audio files, exhibits, and documents for transcription
 • Use digital databases and tools to verify information
 • Perform administrative work when not attending proceedings

✔️ What You Need

You don’t need prior legal experience—just the right skills and attitude:

• Tech-savvy: Comfortable with computers, recording tools, and software
• Fast typer: 55+ WPM
• Strong communicator: Confident speaking, writing, and interacting with legal professionals
• Professional & reliable: Dependable, punctual, and polished
• Notary Commission: Either already have one or willing to obtain (we’ll help!)
• AAERT Certification:—we provide training 
• Equipment: We will provide your equipment 
• English fluency: Speaking, reading, and writing
• Remote & in-person availability
