Spring Development Workplace Giving Intern

(2) United Performing Arts Fund (UPAF) Workplace Giving Intern

TIME FRAME

February-May 2026. Candidates must be able to commit 12-15 hours per week. Days/times are flexible but must be within the hours of 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday. This position is in office. 

OVERVIEW

The United Performing Arts Fund (UPAF) is seeking two self-motivated and detail-oriented individuals to join our Development team as Workplace Giving Interns for Spring 2026. This position offers hands-on experience in nonprofit administration and fundraising while directly supporting UPAF’s annual Workplace Giving Campaigns. These positions will assist our Campaign Coordinators and Development staff in engaging local companies and their employees in supporting Southeastern Wisconsin’s performing arts community. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES                                                      

The Workplace Giving Interns will support Campaign Coordinators during UPAF’s Employee Giving Campaigns through a variety of administrative, logistical, and creative tasks, including:

  • Organize and maintain company campaign materials and information.
  • Assemble and prepare folders with UPAF materials for company campaigns.
  • Package incentive items based on company size and event schedule.
  • Deliver signage, posters, brochures, and other campaign materials to participating companies.
  • Assist with planning and logistics for campaign kick-off events, including creating run-of-show documents.
  • Help track and document campaign progress, results, and acknowledgements.
  • Conduct outreach/appreciation via surveys, emails, phone calls, mailings, and other communication channels.
  • Collaborate with Development staff on general campaign coordination, data entry, and project organization.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS                                                                           

  • Must be enrolled as a student during the Spring 2026 semester.
  • Interest in nonprofit administration.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Resourceful self-starter who identifies project needs and solutions.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Ability to accomplish tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to multi-task and focus amid possible distractions.
  • Dependability, flexibility and ability to maintain confidentiality.

COMPENSATION                                                                           

  • $1,000 stipend upon completion
