Production Intern

Responsibilities: 

  • Assist Production Manager with set up and tear down of the stage for rehearsals and concerts
    • Move, lift and place chairs, stands, risers, instruments and related equipment 
  • Create and disseminate weekly production sheets to CT staff, gathering the necessary information for each program
  • Assist general Intern & Hospitality Coordinator with errands and shopping for hospitality supplies and catering as needed, including daily ice runs 
  • Assist Hospitality & Artistic Coordinator with guest artist airport runs and rental car coordination as needed 
  • Assist DPO with distributing orchestra housing keys and packets
  • Assist front of house with setup for events as needed 
  • Help DPO with general production management and administrative tasks, as needed
  • Communicate with production vendors as requested by Production Manager or DPO
  • Assist with scheduling chamber music rehearsals and coachings as needed
  • Rotate with entire CT staff on trash duty to secure Festival grounds overnight after performances/rehearsals (trash secured, food items secured, tents/pavilion secured, etc.) **CRITICAL due to Bear/Wildlife Issues**
  • Performing such other duties as may be required consistent with the above and with typical Production Intern duties

Qualifications: 

  • Creative thinker with a positive attitude and passion for the arts 
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills 
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment 
  • Well developed writing and communication skills 
  • Comfortable working in a variety of environments 
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time 
  • Ability to lift/carry up to ~30lbs 
  • At least 18 years of age
  • Access to a laptop or tablet  
  • Reliable transportation with a valid driver’s license and good driving record
