Job: Operations Intern

Paid. Full-Time or Part Time. SF Bay Area.

We are looking for a strategic operations intern to serve as a force multiplier for our founding team. This is not a traditional "gatekeeper" role where you just book flights and answer phones. This is an operational partner role. You will be the architect of the executive’s time, protecting their focus so they can build the product and lead the company.

You will live in the chaos of a hyper-growth startup and create order out of it.

What You’ll Do

  • Ruthless Time Defense: Manage an extremely complex, shifting calendar. You won't just accept invites; you will audit them. You will ask, "Does the CEO actually need to be in this meeting, or can an email suffice?"
  • Information Triage: Monitor the CEO’s inbox and Slack. Draft responses, flag urgent items, and archive the noise. You will eventually learn to answer 50% of incoming messages on their behalf.
  • Meeting Prep & Follow-through: Ensure the CEO never walks into a meeting unprepared. You will prepare briefs, research stakeholders (VCs, partners, candidates), and ensure action items are tracked in after the call ends.
  • Operational "Chief of Staff" Work: Plan board meetings, organize team offsites, and handle special projects that don't fit into a specific department (e.g., "Find us a new office in 3 weeks" or "Help structure our hiring process").
  • AI-First Workflow: We are an AI company; we expect you to use AI. You should be using LLMs to draft communications, summarize long documents, and automate your own repetitive tasks.

You might be a fit if….

  • High EQ & Low Ego: You can handle high-pressure situations with grace. You know when to push back and when to roll up your sleeves. No task is too small, but no challenge is too big.
  • Discreet: You will be privy to sensitive IP, fundraising details, and personnel issues. Confidentiality is your baseline.
  • A Writer: You can mimic the CEO’s voice perfectly. When you write an email on their behalf, it should be indistinguishable from one they wrote themselves.
  • Hyper-Organized: You love systems. You don't just solve a problem; you build a playbook so the problem doesn't happen again.
  • Experience: 2+ years supporting C-level executives in a high-growth startup or a high-performance environment (VC, Consulting, or Tech).
  • Availability: Startups are not 9-to-5. You need to be responsive and adaptable to changing schedules and time zones.
