Fully Virtual Position

Work remotely and gain real industry experience. Interns may receive an end-of-internship performance bonus, or—if your university offers credit-bearing internships—Henlopen Hospitality will collaborate with your school to meet academic requirements.

 

 

 

Job Summary

Henlopen Hospitality, a fractional CEO and hospitality consulting firm co-founded by award-winning hotel operators, offers an unparalleled internship for students interested in social media management, digital marketing, and hospitality business development.

This internship provides hands-on experience building brand awareness for a fast-growing hospitality consulting firm, supporting client marketing initiatives, and shaping the digital presence of hotels and hospitality businesses.

As an intern, you will help elevate Henlopen Hospitality’s online presence, grow its audience, and support the launch of new services, training programs, and hospitality industry partnerships.

 

This internship allows you to:

Role and Responsibilities

Social Media Management & Content Creation

  • Create, schedule, and publish social media content for Henlopen Hospitality
  • Build a cohesive brand voice across platforms (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook)
  • Assist with graphic creation, captions, storytelling, and trends
  • Develop content calendars to support marketing campaigns
  • Edit short-form videos and behind-the-scenes reels
  • Monitor engagement and provide insights on growth

 

 

Marketing & Brand Building

  • Support digital campaigns for Henlopen Hospitality and hotel clients
  • Help refine messaging, branding assets, and promotional materials
  • Assist in drafting email campaigns and website content
  • Conduct competitor and trend research
  • Strengthen online presence through consistency and creative strategy

 

 

Business Development Support

  • Research prospective hospitality clients and industry leads
  • Assist with outreach campaigns to hotels, tourism boards, and event partners
  • Help develop pitch materials and case-study content
  • Support relationship-building efforts with partners and clients

 

 

Optional Project Areas (based on skills and interest):

  • SEO content writing
  • Blog article development
  • Data analytics for social media performance

Education and Experience

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, Business, PR, or related field
  • Basic understanding of social media strategy
  • Experience with video editing apps (CapCut, Canva, etc.) preferred
  • Interest in any of the following: business, management, leadership, hospitality, consulting, hotels, or travel industry marketing

 

Knowledge Requirements

Ideal candidates possess or want to develop knowledge in:

  • Social media trends and digital storytelling
  • Content marketing strategies
  • Basic business development principles
  • Bonus but not required: Tourism and hotel industry trends; Hospitality branding and service culture
