Sponsorship & Fundraising Intern
Position Overview
We are seeking an outgoing, driven, and resilient Sponsorship & Fundraising Intern to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a sales-oriented environment and is passionate about making a difference. You will play a key role in securing sponsorships and donations for our 2026 events in Cleveland, Columbus, and Manchester, NH.
Key Responsibilities

Prospect and Outreach:
- Research and identify potential sponsors, donors, and businesses (small and corporate) in target markets.
- Conduct cold calls and outreach via phone, email, and social media.

Fundraising Activities:
- Request financial contributions and sponsorship commitments.
- Solicit silent auction items for event fundraising.

Relationship Building:
- Maintain professional and positive communication with sponsors and donors.
- Track outreach efforts and update CRM or spreadsheets as needed.

Event Support:
- Assist with pre-event planning and coordination related to sponsorships and auction items.
Qualifications
- Outgoing personality with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Comfortable being uncomfortable: able to handle rejection and keep moving forward.
- Sales mindset: motivated to ask for financial commitments and close sponsorship opportunities.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Passion for nonprofit work and making an impact in pediatric cancer research.
