Management Analyst 3
This position is located approximately 30 minutes from downtown North Bend, WA at the beautiful campus of the Washington State Fire Training Academy.
The incumbent will also receive an additional 5% King County pay on each pay statement.
About the Position:
The Management Analyst 3 provides operational analysis, develops recommendations, and leads implementation of approved projects; it does not perform specialized engineering, legal, or software development work. This position is instrumental in assessing and optimizing technological platforms, managing facilities-related data and procurement processes, supporting environmental compliance, and driving technology-based change management initiatives. This position independently plans and executes assigned projects, makes operational decisions within established policies and delegated thresholds, and signs off on routine administrative actions such as validating PM closeouts and approving minor system configuration changes allowed by vendor/IT policy. The position recommends purchases, resource allocations, and strategic changes but cannot approve major procurements, enter legally binding contracts, or make personnel actions such as hiring or termination; those actions require supervisor or appointing authority approval.
About the Division:
The Fire Training Division is one of two divisions within the Fire Protection Bureau. Outside of the Washington State Patrol, the FTD is known as the Fire Training Academy. The FTA operates a 51-acre live fire training facility located in North Bend, Washington and provides classroom, hands-on, and live fire training to the fire service, the military, law enforcement and other safety and industrial professionals. The FTA also coordinates and administers the Regional Direct Delivery which provides basic firefighter training to volunteers throughout the state in the communities they serve.

Duties
Our new teammate will be able to:
- Manage and maintain documentation and workflows for systems.
- Analyze operations and recommend improvements.
- Compile and analyze facility usage and maintenance data.
- Support environmental compliance initiatives.
- Recommend purchases and resource allocations.
- Validate preventive maintenance closeouts.
- Approve routine administrative system changes.
- Drive technology-based change management initiatives.
- Prepare reports and presentations for leadership.
- Participate in cross-functional and special projects as assigned by leadership.
- Communicate effectively with staff and stakeholders.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- At least 5 years’ of working knowledge at a high level of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
- At least 3 years of working knowledge at a high level of working with software management systems like facility management systems, customer relationship management software, project management software, or learning management systems.
