📍 Truckee, CA | 🗓 April–November (Seasonal) Flexible start and end date, summer only is fine| ⏰ Flexible Schedules (2–5 days/week)
Piping Rock Equestrian is hiring for multiple seasonal positions for the 2026 season! Whether you’re passionate about teaching, guiding guests on trail, or helping young riders grow in a supportive community, we’d love to meet you. Our barn is family-oriented, friendly, and surrounded by gorgeous mountain views.
🌟 Open Positions
• Summer Camp Instructor
– Lead or assist with our weekly camps (Monday–Friday)
– Shifts: 8:00–12:00 pm or 8:00–4:00 pm
– Teach horsemanship, support mounted lessons, help with ranch activities
• Trail Ride Guide
– Guide guests and local riders on scenic Truckee trails
– Great for confident riders with excellent communication skills
• Sierra Riding Academy Instructor
– Teach group lessons for our English & Western youth teams
– Support riders at home shows and up to four off-site shows
• Wrangler (2–5 days/week)
– Ideal for someone who loves barn work, horses, and helping wherever needed
– Grooming, tacking, arena support, assisting instructors, light ranch chores
💫 What We’re Looking For
• Strong English and/or Western riding background
• Experience teaching kids, leading camp programs, or guiding trail rides
• Positive, patient, team-oriented attitude
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain – a plus!)
💵 Compensation & Perks
• Competitive hourly or salaried pay (DOE)
• Flexible schedules (2–5 days/week depending on role)
