Maintenance Intern

Fenner Precision Polymers has an exciting internship opportunity with the Maintenance Team at several locations.  

As part of the Maintenance Team, you will: 

  • Perform scheduled maintenance activities on all processing equipment. 
  • Diagnose and repair equipment failures. 
  • Determine material required for necessary repairs. 
  • Utilize skills and knowledge in performance of daily repairs (electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic of processing equipment). 
  • Follow all procedures such as lockout/tagout and safety procedures. 
  • Complete all jobs in and orderly manner. 
  • Wear the required PPE at all times 
  • Maintain work area in a neat and orderly fashion and keep equipment in proper working condition. 
  • Shadow machine maintenance and facilities maintenance at different plants. 
  • Troubleshoot issues with production equipment though the PLC programs. 

 Core Competencies Required  

  • Technical skills are the foundation of maintenance competency. 
  • Problem-solving, communication, time management and teamwork. 

Education and/or Relative Experience:  

  • One year completed at a technical college or one year completed at a CTC/vocational school. 
  • Must have mechanical and electrical skills. 
  • Nice to have PLC and drives experience
