Cloud SaaS Engineer

About the Role 

We are looking for a Cloud SaaS Engineer to lead the setup, deployment, and operational excellence of our AWS infrastructure. You will architect and build our cloud environment from scratch, ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient deployments for our early design-partner clients. We operate with an MVP mindset; fast, lean, and focused on delivering a simple but functional product with a compact engineering team. We expect top-notch practices in security, automation, testing, deployments, and clear communication with the engineering team. 

Responsibilities 

  • Design, build, and manage the entire AWS infrastructure 
  • Support the engineering team in deploying backend and ML developments 
  • Implement and maintain cloud security best practices (least privilege, MFA, VPCs, SGs, IAM policies, etc.) 
  • Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines 
  • Implement monitoring, alerting, and centralized logging solutions 
  • Establish cloud cost visibility and optimize resource usage 
  • Ensure a robust, secure, and scalable environment for our MVP and early customers 

Required Skills & Experience 

  • Strong experience working with AWS 
  • Hands-on experience with containerized applications (Docker, ECS) 
  • Experience with CI/CD tools 
  • Strong understanding of cloud networking and security (VPC, IAM, SGs, roles, secrets) 
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform or Cloud Formation) is a plus 
  • Strong automation mindset 
  • Ability to work fast, autonomously, and collaboratively in a lean engineering team 
  • Strong communication and organizational skills 
  • Ability to work flexible hours when needed 
  • Autonomous, pro-active, and execution-driven 

Bonuses
