Student and Young Alumni Intern

The UT Office of Advancement is seeking an intern to join our Student and Young Alumni Programs team and enhance engagement through various communication, educational, and programming opportunities. Our advancement mission is to engage alumni, friends, and students in programs and events to strengthen relationships and motivate support of the university community.  In furtherance of these goals, we are seeking a paid intern to assist with programming and outreach to aid in the development of the next generation of alumni leaders. 

 

This intern will: 

  • Assist with event logistics such as vendor selection, communication and marketing needs, data collection, event set up, etc. 
  • Partner with the Student and Young Alumni Programs team to ensure all programming participant information is collected and entered in ACE.
  • Oversee event promotion to campus communication partners and student facing marketing outlets. 
  • Conduct programming participant reports to analyze engagement trends.
  • Other duties as assigned 

 

Additional Details

Hourly Wage: $12/hour

Hours Per Week: Up to 15 hours per week

Time Frame: 2025-2026 academic year, with an option to continue work through July

Some nights and weekends will be required for this position

Office Location: Tyson Alumni Center, Room 108

 

Learning Outcomes for the Student and Young Alumni Programs Intern:

By the conclusion of this experience the intern will be able to:

  • Define and understand what an Advancement operation looks like at a large, flagship institution and understand the role of student/alumni engagement within the Division
  • Plan and execute meaningful engagement opportunities 
  • Demonstrate a high level of communication through presentations, written communications, and reporting
  • Create and execute multiple programs from conception to completion and successfully partner with campus departments and internal colleagues
