R. M. Davis provides investment management and other wealth management services to its clients. Based in Portland, Maine, the Company has been in business since 1978 and manages over $7.9 billion in client assets as of September 30, 2025. For many years, our investment management clients have turned to us for objective, independent financial advice, and a wide range of problem-solving services. Our goal is to simplify clients' lives through a responsive, integrated approach to the accumulation, protection, and transition of their wealth. Overview:
The 2026 Spring-Summer Marketing & Communications Intern position is offered to junior or senior undergraduate students. The Marcom Intern will support marketing initiatives and day-to-day operations. Sample responsibilities include:
- Assist with special projects such as event support and website development.
- Participate in team meetings and brainstorming sessions.
- Contribute to internal communications and client-facing materials.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis.
- Support content strategy, development, and execution.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience
- Progress towards completion of a marketing-related bachelor's degree with demonstrated academic achievement.
- Understanding of overall marketing principles and current trends.
- Familiarity with digital and social marketing tools.
- Prior internship or project experience in marketing a plus.
Skills and Abilities
Candidates must demonstrate a combination of academic aptitude, creative thinking, and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency with technology operating systems and applications (i.e., MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams).
- Self-motivated and takes initiative.
- Strong team player with demonstrated collaboration skills.
- Strong writing and editing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Benefits and Logistics
- This position pays $25 per hour.
- Duration:10-12 weeks (flexible) during 2026 summer break.
- Weekly hours: 40 hours.
- This position is located in the Portland office (not remote).
FLSA Status: Non-exempt
