Behavior Technician Intern

Paid Behavior Technician Internship 


Location: Newtown clinic and community settings (schools, daycares, and more)
Internship Schedule Options: 8:30 AM–3:30 PM on Mon/Wed/Fri, Tues/Thurs, or Mon–Fri 
Internship Duration: December 2025 or January 2026 through May 2026

 

Paid Training Location: Feasterville-Trevose, PA

Paid Training Schedule: In-person, Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–3:30 PM for 3 weeks
Upcoming Classes: December 15 – January 12 or January 5 – 23

 

At Potential Inc., we believe strongly in the potential within every individual with Autism. As a Behavior Technician Intern, you will receive the same high-quality training and gain the same hands-on experience as our Behavior Technician staff. Interns play a key role in delivering Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services to clients ages 2–18 in both clinic and community environments.

This paid internship is ideal for students or early-career professionals looking to explore ABA, psychology, education, child development, or human services—while building the skills needed to pursue the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credential.

What You’ll Do

• Provide one-on-one ABA therapy to children and adolescents in our Newtown clinic and community locations
• Implement individualized care plans designed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs)
• Support progress across cognitive, communicative, social, emotional, and adaptive skill areas
• Bring energy, playfulness, and responsiveness to each session while building strong connections with your clients
• Collect data, write session notes, and follow treatment plans using basic technology tools
• Participate in our comprehensive paid training program that prepares you to take the RBT exam
• Work collaboratively with BCBAs and team members to make a meaningful impact on children and families

Who You Are

• Enthusiastic about working one-on-one with children and seeing the direct impact of your efforts
• Comfortable staying active, playful, and engaged with young learners
• Receptive to feedback and eager to learn from supervision
• Confident using basic computer skills for documentation and data entry
• Motivated to explore a future in ABA, psychology, education, or a related human services field

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Reliable transportation to training in Feasterville-Trevose and to client locations throughout Lower Bucks County (Newtown, Warminster, and surrounding communities)
• Availability for one of the internship schedule options (Monday/Wednesday/Friday, Tuesday/Thursday, or Monday-Friday) between 8:30 AM–3:30 PM
• Ability to attend the full 3-week training program, Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–3:30 PM
• Comfortable working in various settings, including clinics, schools, and daycares
