Events Intern – Country Stampede & Kustom Entertainment
The Events Intern position with Country Stampede & Kustom Entertainment is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about event planning and live entertainment. This internship provides hands-on experience in event coordination, logistics, and operations while working behind the scenes of one of the longest-running country music festivals in the midwest. Interns will gain valuable insight into large-scale event management, working closely with the Event Operations Manager, Administrative Support Manager, and a team of professionals to bring an unforgettable experience to festival attendees.
Preferred Qualifications

Commitment
- Internship tentative start date: May 18, 2026
- Work hours: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM (overtime available in the weeks leading up to and during the festival)
- Location: Olathe, KS

Job Requirements
As an Events Intern, you will play a key role in ensuring the success of the festival. Ideal candidates will have:
- Interest in event planning, logistics, and live entertainment
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to take initiative and adapt to changing priorities
- Proficiency in Google Docs/Sheets, Canva, CapCut and MS Outlook
- Ability to do physical labor, stand for long hours and work outside before and during the event
- Flexibility to work long hours leading up to and during the event
Job Responsibilities
As an Events Intern, you will gain hands-on experience in event operations, including:
- Assist in event setup, tear-down, and on-site logistics
- Help coordinate vendors, sponsors, and volunteers
- Collaborate with management to improve event operations and efficiency
- Assist with special event marketing and promotions
- Engage festival patrons through interactive experiences
- Support digital media and social media engagement efforts
- Assist with general office duties, including answering phones, patron support, and handling customer inquiries
- Participate in management meetings and assist with administrative tasks
- Provide exceptional customer service to festival attendees, vendors, and partners
- Various other tasks as they come available
