Social Media Communications Intern, National Hispanic Health Foundation
The National Hispanic Health Foundation (NHHF) is dedicated to improving the health of Hispanics and underserved communities. Through education, research, and community engagement, NHHF works to address health disparities and promote health equity. Our programs encompass public health initiatives, research, professional development, health policy and community outreach.
Position Summary
The NHHF Internship Program is looking for a NHHF Social Media Communications Intern. This program offers a unique opportunity for current and recent graduate and undergraduate students to gain practical experience in communications, marketing, health communications, public health campaigns, health policy and program management. Interns will work closely with NHHF staff and partners on a variety of communications projects aimed at advancing health equity and improving health outcomes for Hispanic and underserved populations.
Qualifications
- Current or recent graduate or undergraduate student in public health, healthcare administration, pharmacy, social work, communications, political science or related fields.
- Strong research, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Passion for improving health outcomes in Hispanic and underserved communities.
- Detail-oriented and organized with strong project management skills.
- Experience using platforms such as Canva, Sprout Social, Constant Contact, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and X.
- Developing and implementing communication strategies to effectively convey the organization's message to the public, stakeholders, and media.
- Overseeing communication channels, including social media accounts, websites, and newsletters.
- Monitoring and evaluation, tracking and analyzing the effectiveness of communication channels and news.
- Attending staff meetings and weekly meetings with the NHHF team.
