Work Study Intern - Guest Experience - Special Events (Fall/Winter)

Work Study Intern Duties

1. Equipment Handling and Transport:

  a. Lifting and moving equipment (e.g., podiums, sound systems, media walls, microphones, and stands).

  b. Using pushcarts or vehicles to transport equipment to event locations.

2. Event Setup and Breakdown:

  a. Setting up equipment at event venues.

  b. Breaking down and properly storing equipment post-event.

3. Guest Assistance:

  a. Escorting event attendees to their destinations within the venue.

  b. Reserving rooms and ensuring hospitality arrangements for guests.

4. Preparation and Organization:

  a. Preparing gift bags and swag items for distribution.

  b. Coordinating offsite travel to support events related to the Airport.

5. Technical Support:

  a. Conducting microphone and sound checks.

  b. Assisting in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues during events.

· Microsoft Office Suite: Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

· Customer Service: Understanding of principles for courteous and professional guest interaction.

· Technical Proficiency: Skills in setting up and operating event-related equipment.

· Manual Dexterity: Ability to handle physical tasks, including lifting and pushing.

· Data Entry and Computer Use: Efficient use of computers for data entry and information retrieval.

· Physical Endurance: Stamina for long periods of walking, lifting, and working non-traditional hours.

Preferred College Majors:
