The Asset Protection Specialist (APS) helps prevent theft, fraud, and safety issues in assigned stores. They use tools like CCTV reviews and security audits to minimize loss, prepare detailed reports, maintain evidence, and work with law enforcement. They’re responsible for identifying risks, upholding safety standards, and supporting store objectives with integrity and a focus on operational concerns. APS must be willing to comply with local licensure requirements, where applicable. This includes completing the process to obtain and maintain a valid “merchant guard” license as required by jurisdiction.
