Data Engineer Intern
Overall Purpose of The Job
The Data Engineer Intern supports the Data & Analytics team with foundational tasks related to data pipelines, reporting, and basic data analysis. This is an entry-level temporary role designed for someone who is early in their data career, eager to learn, and ready to build real hands-on experience.

Key Responsibilities (Critical responsibilities and skills of this position, listed in order of importance)
• Assist with maintaining simple data pipelines and routine data processes.
• Help with basic data mapping, data cleanup, and preparation tasks.
• Run SQL queries and support team members in retrieving or organizing data.
• Support the creation of reports, dashboards, and basic visualizations using tools like Tableau or Power BI.
• Document processes, updates, and changes so the team stays aligned.
• Troubleshoot low-complexity data issues with guidance from senior team members.
• Stay curious and bring forward questions, ideas, and observations.

Work Experience & Qualifications (Brief description of the job-related experience and additional background needed to perform the job)
• Min high school diploma required.
• Some college preferred.
• Basic understanding of SQL and interest in learning more.
• Familiarity with Python or R (classroom experience is fine).
• Exposure to any data warehouse or database environment (Snowflake, SQL Server, etc.) is a plus, not a requirement.
• Interest in business analytics tools like Tableau or Power BI.

• May occasionally require walking, standing, or light lifting (up to 10 pounds) of equipment such as a laptop or office supplies.
