The Opportunity
Join a, high-quality manufacturing firm with $12 - $15 million in annual revenue, specializing in custom, high-end architectural millwork for commercial and institutional projects. This is a crucial, hands-on leadership role where your expertise will directly influence our strategic and operational decisions.
Key Responsibilities
• Financial Leadership: Oversee all accounting operations, including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Inventory, Cost Accounting, and payroll.
• Reporting & Analysis: Prepare timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, budget reports, and forecasts. Provide in-depth financial analysis to executive management to support strategic planning.
• Cost Accounting Focus: Develop and maintain robust job costing systems critical to a manufacturing environment, ensuring accurate product and project profitability tracking.
• Compliance & Audit: Manage the annual financial audit, tax preparation coordination, and ensure compliance with GAAP and all local, state, and federal reporting requirements.
• Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in financial processes, controls, and systems (ERP/accounting software).
• Team Management: Mentor and manage the accounting staff, fostering a culture of accuracy and efficiency.
What You Bring
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a Controller or high-level Assistant Controller role.
• Mandatory experience in a Manufacturing or Construction environment; strong background in job costing and inventory valuation is essential.
• Proven ability to manage the full financial cycle of a company with revenues of \$10M - \$30M.
• Advanced proficiency with ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and presentation skills.
