Leadership Trainee - Operations
Program Overview:
The QXO Leadership Training Program (LTP) is a one-year rotational experience designed to develop future branch and operations leaders. Through structured learning, hands-on assignments, and mentorship, Associates gain the knowledge and leadership skills needed to progress into Assistant Branch Manager or Operations Manager roles upon successful completion.
As a participant, you will join a cohort of high-potential leaders, gain access to an exclusive program alumni network, and engage in peer learning and networking events that strengthen your leadership capabilities and broaden your professional connections
The program combines virtual learning modules, regional on-the-job rotations, and capstone leadership projects, giving participants practical business experience while building strong management and operational foundations.
What You’ll Experience:
Ownership in your learning plan through immersive regional rotations covering branch operations, sales, logistics, supply chain, inventory management, human resources and customer experience.
Impact the business and team with leadership workshops focused on people management, financial acumen, and safety excellence.
Partner with a dedicated mentor and regional leader to receive ongoing coaching and performance feedback aligned with the business strategy.
Lead a business improvement project that delivers measurable customer and financial impact.
Collaborate cross-functionally across marketing, technology, service, finance, supply chain, and operations to understand how strategic decisions drive growth and customer value.
Develop core leadership competencies such as effective communication, building collaborative relationships, decision making, problem solving and emotional intelligence essential for success in QXO leadership roles.
Who You Are:
A recent college graduate (bachelor’s degree in business, Industrial Distribution, Construction Management or related field) or early-career professional with 1–2 years of industry experience.
A strong communicator and problem-solver who thrives in a hands-on, results-oriented environment.
Energized by teamwork and motivated to lead people and processes to make a lasting impact.
Willing to relocate or travel regionally for rotations and future leadership roles.
Preferred Qualifications:
Internship or work experience in distribution, manufacturing, or retail operations.
Analytical and customer-focused mindset.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; interest in technology-driven operations
