Video Editing Intern (Part-Time) REMOTE

Position Overview:

The Video Editing Intern supports the Marketing and Communications Manager in producing

high-quality video content for the BID’s digital platforms. The role focuses primarily on editing

the “Buzz in Ballston” video series for YouTube, website, and social platforms, with

opportunities to assist on additional multimedia initiatives. The ideal candidate is creative,

organized, and skilled in video editing, with a strong interest in storytelling and digital media.

 

Responsibilities:

• Edit and produce episodes of the Buzz in Ballston video series for YouTube, website, and

social platforms.

• Create short-form cuts, teasers, and vertical versions optimized for Instagram Reels and

Stories.

• Organize, log, and manage raw footage and digital media assets.

• Enhance video quality through color correction, audio cleanup, graphics, and captions.

• Maintain consistency with Ballston BID branding, messaging, and visual standards.

• Ensure timely delivery of completed videos and meet project deadlines.

• Support additional multimedia projects as needed.

• Other duties as assigned by the BBID team.

 

Qualifications:

• Current undergraduate student pursuing a degree in Film, Media Production,

Communications, Marketing, or a related field.• Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or Cap

Cut Strong understanding of video formats, aspect ratios, and editing for social

platforms.

• Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Creative thinker with an eye for storytelling and visual composition.

• Basic knowledge of motion graphics or Adobe After Effects is a plus.

• Familiarity with social media platforms (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok) and digital trends

• Strong communication skills and willingness to take initiative.

• Interns are expected to work remotely, while staying in contact with the Manager

during work hours.
