Reporting directly to the Managing Partner, you’ll be the architect of our people strategy, ensuring compliance, fostering engagement, and building a thriving workplace where top talent wants to stay and grow.
What You’ll Do
- Lead HR Strategy: Build and elevate AdvanceTEC’s Human Resources program from the ground up.
- Drive Talent Acquisition: Oversee recruitment for all incoming talent into the Company—full-time, part-time, and internships—and spearhead university engagement.
- Shape Culture: Champion a positive, dynamic, and collaborative environment that resonates inside and out.
- Develop Leaders: Coach and mentor team members, creating pathways for growth and succession.
- Ensure Compliance: Keep us clean and compliant across all employment laws and regulations.
- Collaborate at the Top: Serve as a trusted member of the Executive Steering Committee.
Location & Travel
Home Base: Richmond, Virginia
Travel: Regular travel to Clayton, North Carolina and other locations to support both offices, active projects, recruitment, and training events.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment & Hiring
- Develop and manage job postings for specialized roles (engineers, project managers, clean-room technicians)
- Source candidates through multiple channels and oversee interviews and selection processes
Onboarding - Design and deliver orientation programs emphasizing safety, contamination control, and company culture
- Ensure completion of all required paperwork and smooth integration into the organization
Training & Development
- Create skill-building programs for clean-room protocols and technical competencies
- Implement leadership development and career path planning initiatives
Performance Management - Establish goal-setting frameworks and performance evaluation systems
- Provide feedback mechanisms to drive accountability and continuous improvement
Compensation & Benefits
- Develop competitive salary structures and bonus programs for specialized talent
- Manage company benefits administration, including health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness programs
- Ensure timely execution of monthly, quarterly, and annual HR reporting requirements (e.g., benefits utilization, compliance audits, workforce metrics)
Employee Relations
- Manage conflict resolution and foster positive employee engagement
- Implement employee-facing initiatives tailored to productivity and positive engagement in high-stress, project-driven environments
Compliance
- Ensure adherence to labor laws, OSHA, ISO standards, and clean-room construction regulations
- Maintain accurate documentation and support audits
HR Strategy
- Lead workforce planning and organizational development initiatives
- Utilize HR analytics to inform decision-making and optimize talent management
Workplace Safety
- Collaborate with health safety teams to enforce safety protocols
- Oversee incident reporting and wellness programs to maintain a safe, healthy work environment

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- 8+ years of HR leadership experience, preferably in construction or controlled-environment industries
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and ISO standards and clean-room compliance requirements
- Proven ability to manage HR in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of ADP and how to leverage this tool to support our growing company’s needs.
- Familiarity with contamination control and clean-room protocols
- Ability to implement HR technology solutions for workforce management
- Implement programs for employee engagement and retention in high-stress, technical environments
- Fluency in Spanish (written and spoken) preferred to support communication with diverse workforce
