Agronomy Sales and Service Manager

Schram Seeds is a small Agricultural Sales business looking to grow through increasing sales and revenue from Precision Planting, online services, seed sales and soil sampling. A successful applicant will have the freedom to implement ideas and strategies to maximize outcomes with minimal opposition from ownership.
Primary Duties:
- Service new and existing accounts (seed, Precision Planting and soil sampling), obtain orders, and establish new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on existing and potential customers.
- Submit customer orders via online systems.
- Provide prompt, professional, and courteous customer service.
- Monitor competition by gathering current marketplace information on pricing, products, new products, merchandising techniques, etc.
- Recommend changes in products and services based on competitive developments and/or to meet customer needs.
- Resolve customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management.
- Maintain as needed business website and other social media presences.
- Plan and lead grower meetings.
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies, and attending trainings.
- Provide historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales.
- Care for grounds in and around the Sales office and ensure all facilities and equipment is clean and well maintained.
- Expand existing and create new sales marketing ideas and concepts for Schram Seeds.

Skills/Qualifications:
- Customer Service Skills, Negotiation Skills, Problem Solving Skills, Presentation Skills, Self-Confidence, Self-Motivated
- Current Driver’s License
- Associates Degree or higher in Agronomy, Sales, or other related fields (preferred)
- Commercial Driver’s License (preferred or willing to obtain)
- Certified Crop Advisor (preferred or willing to obtain)
- Must be able to move/lift up to 50 pounds; occasionally up to 100 pounds.
- Understand the seasonality of an agricultural business and the in-season time commitment.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $50,000.00 to $90,000.00 /year
Experience:
- Agronomy: 1 year (Preferred)
- Agronomy Sales: 1 year (Preferred)
Education:
- Associate or higher (Preferred)
