Are you a rising junior/senior/graduate student looking to gain actuarial experience in an interesting and unique casualty line as an actuarial intern in Summer 2026? We are looking for a driven candidate with strong analytical skills to help our department leverage new technology to generate insights and identify trends. Responsibilities:
- Analysis that identifies trends between member groups and across variables
- Assist in data aggregation for pricing analyses.
- Create reports for underwriting and other departments using UE’s enterprise data warehouse.
- Analyze loss and premium trends to understand loss ratio drivers.
- Support ad hoc data analysis and provide other support to actuarial and analytics staff as needed.
Requirements:
- Undergraduate rising junior/senior or graduate student who is seeking a degree in mathematics, actuarial science, statistics, data science, or other analytical areas
- Proficiency in MS Office products, especially Excel. Experience in R and/or Python preferred
- Professional, confident, and appropriate communication and interpersonal skills, and a cooperative attitude with staff
- Good organizational and time management skills
- One or more CAS actuarial exams passed preferred but not required
