Director IV - Educator Preparation Programs
Under the direction of an assigned supervisor, plans, organizes, controls, and directs professional development and delivery of assigned California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) credentialing programs for teachers and school administrators; seeks out grants and resources to establish and operate various degree and credentialing programs; serves as liaison with the California Department of Education, CTC, departments within the SCCOE, and other organizations for providing information and resolving issues related to assigned credentialing programs; develops procedures and activities to prepare Educator Preparation Programs (EPP) for Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC) accreditation; develops goals and strategic plans to create a workforce pipeline for PreK-12 educational systems; supervises and evaluates the performance of assigned personnel and performs other related duties as assigned.
Leadership team members are eligible to receive a $2,500 annual stipend for a master’s degree and a $2,500 additional stipend for a doctorate, provided official documentation is submitted.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Any combination equivalent to a Master's degree in education or related field and five (5) years increasingly responsible experience in the administration of instructional technology, professional staff development, instructional leadership and curriculum development at a site or district level. Experience having taught courses at the university level in the area of teacher preparation, administrative training, or related field. Doctoral degree required.
Licenses and Other Requirements
- Valid California Administrative Credential
- Valid California Elementary, Secondary Teaching Credential or Special Education Credential
- Valid California driver's license
