Business Immigration Coordinator
Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP, a global law firm, currently has an employment opportunity for an Immigration Coordinator/ Case Assistant in the Immigration Practice Group of our Atlanta office. Job Description
- Ensure case management system is kept up to date and initiations are processed correctly
- Review client documentation and ensure that all documents needed are received for submitting a file for assessment
- Update information and upload documents into an immigration case management system
- Assist attorneys or paralegals with case initiation
- Maintain, update and organize client files, assist in drafting immigrant and non-immigrant visas
- Update and maintain reports assigned, monitor immigration expiration dates
- Manage caseload and process and distribute essential documents
- Process incoming and outgoing correspondences
- Assist with other department activities as needed, and perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Proficient in MS Office Suite – Outlook, Word, Excel
- Experience using various computer systems
- High attention to detail, outstanding organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written), professional demeanor and presentation
- A client service mindset and desire to achieve a high level of productivity
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with competing demands
- Desire to contribute to positive work environment, effectively collaborate and promote teamwork
- Position also requires the ability to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines, effectively prioritize multiple tasks
- Candidate must be a self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong problem-solving skills, takes initiative and uses good judgment, excellent follow-up skills
