Marketing Specialist
CPC Scientific is a globally recognized and leading CDMO specializing in synthetic peptide and oligonucleotide production, with one of the largest research peptide facilities in the world. CPC Scientific works directly with leaders in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries to bring life-changing therapeutics and diagnostics to market ranging from early drug discovery stages through clinical trials to commercial manufacturing.
CPC Scientific is seeking a Marketing Associate/Marketing Specialist to fill one (1) full-time role. This position reports directly to the Marketing Manager and supports a broad range of marketing activities, including social media coordination, event logistics, market research, scientific content review, general marketing operations and other duties as assigned.
The ideal candidate will have either a degree in Chemistry or substantial experience in front-end website development and SEO management. The candidate is analytical, research-oriented, highly organized, and detail-focused, with the ability to collaborate professionally and effectively within the Marketing team. Adaptability and a willingness to learn new tools and methods are essential. A strong scientific foundation is preferred and will enhance success in this role. The position requires working onsite five days a week in our Rocklin, CA office. This position will interact with all levels within the organization. Professionalism and maintaining confidentiality are an integral part of the job. There is an immediate need to fill this position as soon as possible. Relocation is not available.
DUTIES:
- Conduct general market research to stay informed about industry trends, scientific developments, and relevant updates; summarize findings for internal use.
- Assist with planning and coordinating announcements, recognition posts, and industry-relevant content across marketing channels.
- Support logistics for events and trade shows, including booth preparation, materials, shipments, documentation, and timeline management. Assist with structured follow-up activities after events and campaigns.
- Review scientific terminology, references, and general accuracy in marketing materials to ensure clarity and professionalism.
- Maintain organized project files, shared resources, and marketing documentation.
- Provide operational and administrative support directly to the Marketing Manager.

Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
- College degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Life Sciences, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred. MBA preferred.
- 2+ years of experience working in a marketing, business or analytical environment preferred. Familiarity with scientific or technical industries is preferred. Recent graduates will be considered with prior work experience or recently graduated from an EMBA program.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general digital tools with the ability to learn new platforms and technologies.

- Ability to lift at least 40+/- pounds.
- Ability to work in a venue such as an office location, hotel/conference room, etc., with the possibility of inclusion of working on the weekends.
- Ability to walk, bend, stoop, kneel, twist, turn and use/walk up ladder/stairs, etc.

Travel:
- Ability to travel domestically by car or commercial means up to 10% of time, nationally.
