Are you passionate about photography, social media, and telling the student experience online? The Division of Student Affairs & Academic Support is seeking a creative and motivated Digital Strategy Student Intern to join our content team. You’ll work directly with our digital content team to help capture, curate, and share engaging photo and social media content that brings the student experience at USC to life. 

This is a hands-on, year-round opportunity to build your portfolio, grow your digital media skills, and contribute to the @uofscstudents brand. 

  

Key Responsibilities 

Capture photographs of campus events, student experiences, and everyday moments of campus life. 

Create and schedule content for @uofscstudents social media accounts, including Instagram, TikTok, and Threads. 

Contribute creative ideas for campaigns, stories, and posts that resonate with USC students. 

Assist with content planning and execution for ongoing and seasonal initiatives. 

Organize and edit photos using tools like Adobe Lightroom Classic and Photoshop. 

Monitor trends on social media platforms and suggest relevant and timely content ideas. 

Collaborate with fellow interns and professional staff to maintain a cohesive and engaging voice across platforms. 

Support other content efforts (video shoots, student takeovers, social media coverage, etc.) as needed. 

  

Qualifications 

Required: 

Must be a current USC student (second semester freshman, sophomore, junior) 

Interest in digital storytelling, social media, photography, or marketing 

Familiarity with social media platforms, trends, and best practices 

Basic knowledge of photography (DSLR/mirrorless camera) 

Strong writing and communication skills 

Ability to meet deadlines, follow a posting schedule, and attend campus events (some evenings/weekends) 

Preferred: 

Experience using content creation tools (Canva, Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, etc.) 

Experience managing or contributing to a brand or organization’s social media 

Eye for visual design, branding, and cohesive aesthetics 

Prior experience covering events or managing social media in a professional or student org setting
