SUMMARY

Develops and maintains relationships with existing and new VIP customers through personal contact in order to generate incremental gaming revenues.  Develops and maintains new assigned players to build customer loyalty.  Candidate must monitor and assist players, sign up and issue new players club cards to non-carded players thus increasing the database.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

 

  • Maintain relationships with high valued guests. Greets guests in the casino and participates in social events and special promotions targeting invited guests on and off property. 
  • Responsible for increasing the database of Players’ Club members with high value new player sign-ups.
  • Evaluates player ratings to track visits, arranges accommodations and provide comps utilizing established guidelines.
  • Exercise sound business judgment generating effective solutions to guest complaints quickly and/or raising issue to management as necessary.
  • Inform guests of special upcoming events such as concerts, parties, promotions, etc. 
  • Assists with completing booking of trips for guests.
  • Meets and greets jackpot winners of certain amounts set by the slot department and offer congratulations.
  • Assist in promotions and special events as needed. Is prepared to answer questions on promotions and events for guests. 
  • Complete all required reports as requested. 
  • Provides assistance to high valued guests by arranging transportation services, lodging, dining and entertainment needs while visiting the casino.
  • Provides assistance to the Casino Host(s) with their hosted players.
  • Survey and evaluate the gaming floor by using the computer programs; Super-PlayMate, Table Games management program, player kiosk program, and Omni View.
  • Achieves predetermined targeted revenue quotas, profitability goals, and other measured goals provided by management.
  • Responsible for marketing to predetermined active and inactive customers by email, mail and phone to further develop brand loyalty and visitation to Presque Isle Downs.
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of all electronic gaming machines, Table Games, player tracking systems, promotions, events, entertainment and general property information. 
  • Reviews all Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board exclusions to ensure compliance and that communication to any type of excluded player does not occur.
  • Safeguard the confidential nature of all departmental and company records.
  • May issue a complimentary in accordance with the approved comp matrix.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent.  College degree preferred.  Extensive prior customer service experience required. 

 

LANGUAGE ABILITY

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information to and respond to questions from guests and other employees of the Company in one-on-one and small group situations.

 

MATH ABILITY

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide, using whole numbers and decimals.  Ability to perform these operations using units of American currency. 

 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.  Ability to deal with problems involving multiple variables in non-standardized situations.

 

COMPUTER SKILLS

Must possess a thorough knowledge of a keyboard to maneuver customer screens in the customer tracking system in a timely fashion. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Outlook, preferred.  OASIS systems knowledge preferred.

 

CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES

Candidate must obtain and maintain appropriate licensing from the PGCB.

There are no supervisory responsibilities in this position.

The noise level in the work environment is loud. There is smoking in the casino, and therefore the environment may be smoky.  May be required to work in outdoor weather conditions.

Candidate must be able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time.  Candidate is frequently required to move to different areas of the casino.  Dexterity of the hands required as the candidate will be using computers and other office equipment.  Candidate is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms.  Candidate is required to talk and hear. The employee may be required to lift up to 10 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
