Corporate Sales Intern - (In Office) Fresno, CA

The following is a list of essential duties and responsibilities for this position along with certain supportive duties.  It is not all inclusive.  Other duties and responsibilities may be added as needed, and in addition, management, as appropriate, may modify this job description.  

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

  • Conduct daily outbound calls, emails, and research to identify and qualify potential leads. 
  • Develop prospect lists using CRM tools, online databases, and market resources. 
  • Collaborate with Corporate Sales Representatives and Junior Account Executives to hand off qualified leads. 
  • Assist in preparing introductory outreach materials and call scripts for new business development. 
  • Maintain accurate records of outreach activities and client interactions in CRM systems. 
  • Work closely with the sales team to support ongoing business initiatives and special projects. 
  • Assist in coordinating outreach campaigns and tracking progress against sales goals. 
  • Participate in internal sales meetings, brainstorming sessions, and performance reviews to enhance learning. 
  • Support data entry, quoting, and client follow-up as directed by the sales leadership team. 
  • Learn core sales and communication techniques used in the logistics and transportation industry. 
  • Gain exposure to full truckload (FTL), intermodal, and drayage service offerings within JTS. 
  • Develop business acumen through mentorship, shadowing, and real-world client engagement. 

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: 

Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing.  Must be able to use the computer for sending and receiving information, conducting internet research, and maintaining files.
