Who it’s for:
- Undergraduate and Graduate students
- Current students actively enrolled at an accredited institution
- U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents (Some options for non-US citizens)
- Primarily, students pursuing a STEM degree
- There are a few opportunities for students in Business, Comms, or IT fields, too!

Types of Positions
Seasonal Internships
- 10–16 week internships (summer, spring, or fall) working on independent, mentored research projects.
- Includes safety training, research planning, weekly seminars, lab tours, and a poster presentation at the end.
- Focused on hands on experience in STEM fields (science, engineering, computing, etc.)

Research Aides (Undergraduate Student Employment)
- Hourly-paid, temporary employment (part-time or full-time) working directly within research groups or operational teams.
- Flexible durations depending on the project or funding cycle.
- Open to non-US citizens
- Also, opportunities in Finance/Accounting, and other professional fields!
Visiting Students
- For students who bring their own funding (e.g., via grants or scholarships from their home institution) and want to do research at Argonne.
