Lei & Mar Co. is an everyday jewelry brand built for real life. We create minimalist, timeless pieces that are waterproof, tarnish resistant and designed to move with you through workouts, showers and busy days. We are a small, growing, founder-led brand based in the Greater Sacramento area.

Role Overview
We are looking for a creative, detail oriented Social Media Content Creator to help us tell the story of Lei & Mar on platforms like Instagram and TikTok. This role is ideal for a college student who wants real-world experience in social media, content creation and brand marketing, and is excited to build their portfolio while working closely with the founder.

You will help plan, create and publish content that highlights our jewelry, our customers and the people behind the brand.

Key Responsibilities

Brainstorm and pitch content ideas that fit our brand, including Reels, TikToks, Stories and photo posts

Film and edit short-form videos using your phone and editing apps such as CapCut or similar tools

Capture simple product and lifestyle photos that match our aesthetic

Write engaging, on-brand captions and basic hooks for short-form content

Help schedule and post content on Instagram and TikTok

Assist with community engagement by liking, commenting and responding to DMs using brand guidelines

Research trends, audio and content formats that fit our brand and audience

Track simple performance metrics such as views, saves and engagement rate and share takeaways

Who You Are

Current college student, preferably studying Marketing, Communications, Media, Design, Fashion, or a related field

Active user of Instagram and TikTok, with strong awareness of trends on both platforms

Comfortable filming yourself or others, and creative with phone based content

Basic experience with editing tools such as CapCut, InShot, Canva or similar

Strong writing skills and attention to detail, especially in captions and on-screen text

Passion for jewelry, fashion, lifestyle or storytelling

Self starter who can manage time, meet deadlines and take feedback well

Located in the Greater Sacramento area or familiar with the region

Type: Part-time, internship style position for college students

Location: Hybrid or remote, preference for students in the Greater Sacramento area

Schedule: Flexible, approximately 5 to 10 hours per week, depending on class schedule

Compensation: Small stipend or hourly pay, to be discussed based on availability and experience. School credit can be supported if your program allows it.
