Marketing Intern

The Q 90.1 is the local Christian Radio station for Worcester County MA. Our mission is to connect people, churches, businesses, and communities together with the love of Jesus Christ. We are a small but growing non-profit that recently invested in a new broadcast antenna system that doubled our listener footprint and hired a Director of Business Operations to leverage the increased footprint into revenue growth

We are seeking an enthusiastic Marketing Intern to join our team to provide essential support in developing and implementing our communication and outreach strategy. As a marketing intern you will have the opportunity to immediately assume a meaningful role within the organization. You will report to and interact regularly with the Director of Business Operations as well as collaborate on a regular basis with the Director of Programming.

What you will be doing:

  • Assume responsibility for all social media accounts. Review and analyze current accounts and present findings. Working with both directors develop and implement a plan for regular social media activity that will lead to improved and expanded visibility within the community
  • Review and analyze current email communication plans for listeners, business and church partners.  Working with both directors develop and implement a plan to improve frequency and content messaging to better serve current constituent group and help grow revenue
  • Review current website content, layout and make recommendations for improvements
  • Engage with station "Street Team” to help improve volunteer recruitment and retention through better communication. Assist team in scheduling and attending appropriate events with partners.
  • Work with Director of Operations and sales team to improve new customer outreach and follow up communications.
