Plant Research Assistant

Job responsibilities and duties:

Assist in preparing and maintaining research projects in greenhouse, field, and laboratory settings. These projects focus on studying drought and salinity tolerance in ornamental plants and developing propagation protocols for Utah native plants. Responsibilities include organizing greenhouses and field plots, removing weeds, transplanting and watering plants, setting up experiments, collecting plant growth data, gathering soil samples, operating scientific instruments, and performing other assigned tasks.

Qualifications:

Individuals interested in horticulture and plant science research are encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to applicants with prior experience in growing, culturing, and propagating plants.
