Social Media Intern
Ghyslain Chocolatier is a nationally recognized artisan chocolate and gourmet dessert company specializing in hand-crafted chocolates, pastries, and culinary creations known for their elegance, precision, and vibrant artistry. Based in Union City, Indiana, Ghyslain distributes gourmet products to retailers, restaurants, corporate clients, and chocolate lovers across the country.
On behalf of Ghyslain Chocolatier, ruef Creative is seeking a Social Media Intern to support ongoing digital marketing and content development efforts. This is a paid internship.
We are looking for a highly creative, detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of modern social media culture, trends, and visual storytelling. This role involves helping Ghyslain showcase its chocolates, pastries, kitchen artistry, and brand personality across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and Pinterest.
Applicants should possess strong grammar, an eye for aesthetic detail, and effective, engaging writing skills. Photography, videography, and/or graphic design experience is a plus. Experience with social media management tools, is an additional bonus.
Responsibilities
This position will support Ghyslain Chocolatier’s marketing team by assisting with:
- Developing and organizing social media content that highlights Ghyslain products, behind-the-scenes kitchen processes, chef craftsmanship, and seasonal promotions
- Creating short-form videos, photos, and written captions for multiple platforms
- Managing and scheduling posts across various social media channels
- Maintaining and expanding a content calendar
- Researching trends, hashtags, and competitive bakery/chocolatier brands to strengthen engagement
- Assisting with occasional in-person content shoots at Ghyslain’s production facility or events
- Contributing to blog content, public relations efforts, and digital storytelling
- Collaborating with designers, photographers, videographers, and writers at ruef Creative and Ghyslain
- Organizing digital assets and managing files effectively
- Participating in team meetings and presenting creative ideas
This internship provides hands-on experience with a nationally recognized gourmet brand and the opportunity to develop a strong, portfolio-ready body of creative social content.
Qualifications
- Strong creative writing and communication skills
- Familiarity with TikTok, Instagram Reels, and modern social media trends
- Basic photography and video editing skills preferred
- Graphic design experience (Adobe Creative Cloud or Canva) is a plus
- Interest in food, chocolate, culinary arts, or lifestyle branding is helpful
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects
- Associate’s degree preferred; active college students and recent graduates encouraged to apply
