Role:
As a Mechanical Engineering Intern, you will support the development of Emvolon’s waste-gas-to-liquid technology by assisting in the design, integration, and testing of engine-based reformers. You will gain hands-on experience in system development, experimental execution, and prototype scale-up, contributing to a technology with real-world impact.
Responsibilities:
- Work with a cross-disciplinary team to develop and optimize an internal combustion engine-based reformer.
- Assist in integrating the reformer with downstream systems for seamless operation.
- Collaborate with researchers to design, execute, and analyze experiments.
- Support the scale-up of prototype reactors from lab to pilot scale.
- Participate in system testing, data collection, and troubleshooting to refine performance.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with mechanical systems, Internal Combustion, Fuels, sensors, fluid handling, or hardware prototyping is highly valued.
- Strong understanding of thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid mechanics.
- Experience with CAD, mechanical design, or experimental setups is a plus.
- Eagerness to work in a fast-paced startup environment with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
