Tooling intership

Anchor Plastics Inc.  looking for someone to join our team and help us in the tooling department. This opportunity could turn into a full time position upon graduation.

We are looking for a person to help with cleaning and maintaining our injection molding tools and help with some minor maintenance around the shop. We are looking for someone 20-30 hours a week or could be full time. $18.00 staring once trained $20-23.00 per hour. 

Duties include: 

• Cleaning and maintaining to the highest level our injection molding Molds.
• Making Pins and fixtures using surface grinders, Bridge Ports and Lathes. 
• Working with Engineering team to develop fixtures and checking aids on production floor.
• Work with suppliers on new designs for new tooling
• Support production with maintenance on the production floor when requested. 
• Measures Barrels and screws 
• Basic Electrical skills a plus for wiring new tools and barrels. 
• First article measuring for submission on new parts.   

Skills Required: 

• Must have ability and basic knowledge of how to use surface grinders, Bridgeport's, and lathes. 
• Must have a good understanding of GD&T 
• Must be mechanically inclined and a basic understanding of pneumatics and hydraulics. 
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. 
• Must be able to pass drug test, physical, and background check.
