POSITION SUMMARY

Craftwork is on a mission to redefine the home painting industry by building a tech-enabled top-quality brand, customer experience, and operator experience. Backed by leading investors including Y Combinator and Forerunner, we are building the premium brand in home services.

We’re looking for a Market Launch Intern to help bring Craftwork to life in Raleigh, our first expansion market. You’ll work directly with the COO to make sure our First 50 customers have an unforgettable experience, helping with everything from hiring painters to executing grassroots marketing and ensuring every project runs flawlessly.

This is a hands-on, high-energy launch role for someone who loves to hustle, learn, and make things happen. You’ll wear multiple hats across operations, marketing, logistics, and customer experience to help us launch fast, learn fast, and build something special from the ground up. If you’re excited to roll up your sleeves, take initiative, and do whatever it takes to make the Raleigh launch a success, we want to meet you.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Market Launch Execution

  • Be on the ground making the Raleigh launch happen - whether that’s delivering materials, setting up job sites, or greeting customers on their first day.
  • Hustle to help us find and deliver our First 50 projects through paid media, setting up influencer campaigns, local partnerships/events, and creative guerrilla marketing.
  • Support daily field operations: scheduling crews, running site checks, solving real-time problems with our painters and field managers.
  • Jump into whatever needs to be done! You could be hiring painters, delivering touch-up kits, organizing promo drops, or helping our marketing team execute a pop-up.

Customer Experience

  • Help design and deliver an unforgettable experience for every early Craftwork customer.
  • Assist in outreach, onboarding, and follow-up to turn our customers into ambassadors.
  • Collect and summarize customer feedback to improve the experience week to week.

Team Support and Operations

  • Track launch metrics (project performance, customer feedback, etc.) and surface insights to make us better.
  • Support hiring and onboarding of local painters and project leads.
  • Keep projects moving smoothly with the right people, materials, and information in place.
  • Help document launch learnings into repeatable playbooks and SOPs for future markets.

Special Projects

  • Partner with the COO and Strategy & Ops team on high-impact projects.
  • Bring curiosity, speed, and ownership to projects ranging from product to marketing to ops.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • You’re an undergraduate or graduate student with a bias for action (business, entrepreneurship, marketing, or operations is a plus).
  • You’re scrappy, resourceful, and ready to get your hands dirty.
  • You thrive in ambiguity and love figuring things out on the fly.
  • You communicate clearly with audiences from painters to customers to teammates.
  • You’re data-driven and comfortable in Google Sheets (SQL or analytics tools a plus).
  • You operate with an ownership mentality. No job is too big or too small.
  • You bring a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and energy that lifts people around you.
  • Spanish language proficiency is a plus.

CRAFTWORK OPS BEHAVIORS

Alignment with our team values and behaviors is essential to being successful in this role.

  • Build together. Be there for your teammates, customers, and frontline workers. Celebrate their wins more than your own. Create and sustain momentum. Bring energy.
  • Hustle with purpose. Take ownership and initiative. Have a bias to action. Make an impact. Drive concrete improvements everyday.
  • Lead with curiosity. Ask questions. Assume positive intent. Understand reasons behind results.
  • Help each other be great. Set a high bar. Lift others up to it. Hold each other accountable. Learn your lessons once.
