Marketing Coordinator Spring Intern

You will leave this fellowship with hands-on experience at
- using marketing technology platforms (such as content management systems, email automation, social media scheduling, etc.
- creating and implementing social media and email campaigns, content marketing, website management, and events
- collecting and analyzing data for improving marketing effectiveness and optimization
Moderately complex copywriting and editing tasks are required for developing newsletters, blogs, and presentation materials. You must be able to operate relatively independently, exercise discretionary judgment, and make recommendations on new methods and procedures. Excellent time management and communication is a must.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Website and SEO: Posts new content to company website and works to improve website SEO
- Social Media: Executes social media effort to drive website traffic
- Opportunity engagement: Monitors website activity and responds to web visitor inquiries
- Content Marketing: Proofs, writes/edits, publishes and distributes the articles, blogs, and the monthly newsletters and develop and manage content marketing calendar
- Event Marketing: Performs duties related to webinar/seminar/event planning, including booking dates and venues, developing ideas and creative materials, securing speaking engagements, performing event fulfillment, and registering event participants. Identify speaking opportunities and write and submit speaking proposals.
- Database and data management: Maintains company databases on an ongoing basis and makes changes from directories, returned mail, input from events and web inquiries and updates the database at least annually.
- Performance Management: Monitors and reports on key monthly statistics to improve Marketing effectiveness and optimization.
Essential Knowledge and Skills:
Must have
- access to the Internet when offsite
- experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- familiar with all social media outlets (Twitter, Facebook, WordPress, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.)
Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
Demonstrated writing and organizational skills. Excellent interpersonal and communication (both written and oral) and time management skills.
