Marketing and Outreach Intern

 

We are looking for an intern to assist with the Future Leaders in Planning program (FLiP)!

Day to day tasks will also include support for project-specific public outreach materials including social media, email marketing (Constant Contact), print or digital flyers, videos, and photography.

Interns may be asked to assist with early planning for the 44th Planning and Design Awards and other outreach events in the community while interning at the Planning Commission.

Marketing and Public Relations students are preferred because of the requirements needed for the position but students with other majors are encouraged to apply. Previous event planning experience and basic graphic design skills are needed for the internship tasks. The internship will be contracted from Monday, January 12, 2026, to Friday, May 8, 2026. The full duration of the position is part-time (approximately 20 hours per week).

Requirements:

  • Effective oral and written communication in English 
    • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
  • Interest in Government Relations

  • Social media
  • PowerPoint skills
  • Graphic Design (Canva, InDesign a plus)

 

Pay:

$18/hour
