The goal of this program is to promote a health system by introducing highly qualified undergraduate and recent baccalaureate degree scholars interested in maternal and
child health to the field of public health. The program focuses on the promotion of health.
Eligibility Requirements
• Candidate must be a rising college junior or senior or must have received a baccalaureate degree in the 12 months leading up to the beginning of the program.
• Candidate must have a 2.7 GPA or better on a 4.0 scale.
• Candidate must be a U.S. citizen, a U.S. national or a U.S. permanent resident.
• Candidate must commit to participating in program activities for the MCHC/RISE-UP:
- Orientation dates: May 25 – 29, 2026
- Program dates: June 1 – July 31, 2026
- *UC Davis Program Dates: June 15 – July 31, 2026
