KangaCode is a gamified Python learning platform created by Roulettech, Inc., teaching K–12 students to code through stories, quests, and an interactive RPG world. Supported by Carnegie Mellon University’s Swartz Center for Entrepreneurship, KangaCode transforms learning into an adventure — and we’re growing fast across the U.S. and Taiwan.

Role Overview

We’re looking for a creative and organized Marketing Intern who loves both online engagement and real-world experiences.
You’ll help us grow KangaCode’s presence across digital platforms, plan engaging community events, and turn audience interest into measurable impact.

This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience in startup marketing, social media management, and event planning — all while making an impact in education and technology.

Responsibilities

Digital & Growth Marketing

Develop and schedule creative content for social media (Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook).

Brainstorm and execute marketing campaigns that increase brand awareness and lead generation.

Manage engagement, respond to followers, and help grow the online community.

Track performance metrics and generate insights for future campaigns.

Event Planning & Community Engagement

Assist in planning and promoting workshops, trial classes, school visits, and pop-up events.

Coordinate logistics such as sign-up forms, materials, and partner outreach.

Help capture event photos, videos, and testimonials for marketing use.

Support lead collection and conversion efforts during and after events.

Collaboration

Work closely with the marketing, design, and education teams to align brand messaging.

Participate in brainstorming sessions to create fresh campaign ideas that connect with parents, teachers, and students.

Qualifications

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Creative thinker with strong attention to detail and visual storytelling sense.

Familiar with social media platforms and tools (Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, Meta Business Suite, Canva).

Interested in event planning, digital marketing, and education innovation.

Self-driven, responsible, and comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment.

Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communication, Business, or related field.

Bonus Skills

Experience in photo/video editing (e.g., Canva, CapCut, Premiere, Photoshop).

Knowledge of Google Analytics, CRM tools, or paid ad management.

Event coordination or campus ambassador experience.

Passion for education, EdTech, or gaming.

Internship Details

Location: Hybrid (Pittsburgh, PA preferred) or Remote

Duration: 3–6 months

Hours: 10–20 hrs/week (flexible schedule)

Compensation: Paid internship

Growth: Strong performers may be considered for future part-time or full-time roles
