Creative Marketing Internship

Creative Marketing Internship Memphis Botanic Garden is a 96-acre garden in the heart of urban Memphis featuring 30 display gardens and a wide array of educational programming and community events. This internship provides hands-on experience in marketing, design, and content creation—ideal for a student studying marketing, communications, graphic design, or a related field who wants to gain real-world experience supporting a dynamic nonprofit organization.

 The ideal candidate is a creative and reliable multi-tasker who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys both visual and written storytelling, and takes pride in meeting deadlines with accuracy and artistry. They’re eager to learn, ready to pitch in where needed, and inspired by the idea of helping a beloved Memphis destination bloom even brighter. Duration: Either Summer (Approx. May-August), Fall (Approx. September-December), or Spring (Approx. January-May) Hours: 15–30 hours/week; includes evenings and weekends for event support Pay Rate: $15/hour

Reports to: Director of Marketing & Communications

Primary Responsibilities:

 ● Design digital and print materials including social graphics, flyers, signage, and event collateral in alignment with brand guidelines 

● Support social media content creation and scheduling 

● Assist with basic photo/video editing and help capture behind-the-scenes content at Garden events 

● Draft short-form copy & assets for social captions, emails, and event listings

● Update website event pages and assist with digital asset organization 

● Support seasonal campaigns and event branding

 ● Prepare and organize photo and graphic files for marketing use 

● Provide on-site support during public events, concerts, and seasonal programs 

● Assist with administrative and operational needs of the Marketing & Communications team 

● Complete other tasks as assigned
