Junior AI Engineer

Job Title: Junior AI Engineer

Location: Washington, DC (Hybrid)
Client Domain: Banking

Objectives:

To assist in the design, development, and implementation of AI models and solutions that align with organizational objectives.
To contribute to the evaluation, testing, and optimization of AI algorithms and software components.
To support data processing and management tasks essential for AI workflows.
To continually enhance technical skills and stay abreast of AI advancements.

Key Responsibilities (to be covered during training):

Model Development: Assist in building, training, and validating machine learning and deep learning models under supervision.
Data Handling: Collect, preprocess, clean, and organize datasets required for training and evaluation of AI models.
Algorithm Implementation: Translate theoretical AI concepts into practical code in languages such as Python, TypeScript, or Java.
Testing & Evaluation: Participate in designing tests, evaluating model accuracy, and reporting results to the team.
Documentation: Create clear, concise documentation for code, model architectures, and processes for internal use.
Collaboration: Work closely with senior engineers, data scientists, and stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver assigned tasks.
Deployment Support: Assist in deploying AI models and services to production environments under guidance.
Maintenance: Monitor performance of deployed models and report any issues or anomalies for resolution.
Learning & Development: Actively participate in internal training sessions, workshops, and other learning opportunities to advance AI knowledge.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Must be legally authorized to work in the USA and not require any visa sponsorship now or in future.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
0-6 months of related experience.
Basic understanding of Machine Learning concepts and techniques.
Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, TypeScript or Java.
Experience with ML libraries like TensorFlow, Pytorch or similar is an advantage.
Understanding of Data Preprocessing techniques and tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Candidates should be able to commute/relocate to the job location.
Candidates should be able to commit to work a minimum of 15 months.
