Hi! Hope all is well! As teachers are becoming more and more needed by the day, there is a program called NYC Teaching Fellows. NYC Teaching Fellows is a program that helps people become teachers within a short span of time. The program starts in June and ends in August. Candidates have the opportunity to choose which types of teachers they are interested in being. The program is subsidized and candidates will start teaching in September 2026. *Opportunity is for alumni and students who are graduating by Spring 2026 (May 2026). Candidates are giving a stipend during the summer immersion program. Bachelor's degree has to be conferred by May 2026.

Job Duties:

  • Adapting teaching methods and materials to meet the interests and learning styles of students.
  • Creating, assigning and grading various assessments for students, including tests, quizzes, essays and projects.
  • Creating a safe, respectful and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Communicating regularly with parents.
  • Present lessons in a comprehensive manner and use visual/audio means to facilitate learning.
