Duration: 10-12 weeks (Summer 2026)

The company is dedicated to providing the best tire and wheel buying experience in the industry, with a focus on providing excellent customer service and high-quality products.
This intern will contribute to a strategic initiative aimed at enhancing the efficiency and user experience of our Call Center Software, OneReach. This project supports our broader goal of modernizing Service Desk operations through automation and intelligent workflows. The intern will assist in developing and optimizing automated call flows, integrating backend systems, and improving reporting capabilities. As a Discount Tire Intern, you will have the opportunity to work with a team of experienced professionals and gain practical experience in a fast-paced, fun, and challenging environment. You will have access to senior leadership and visibility to multiple facets of the business of Information Technology, with a program mission of “providing high potential students’ knowledge and experience to guide them in future career decisions.” Additional program specific activities will provide team building opportunities and the requirement to present to senior leaders within the IT business segments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Analyze current OneReach workflows and identify automation opportunities
- Develop and test new call flow logic and integrations
- Document improvements and provide recommendations for future enhancements
- Support the Service Desk team in implementing and validating changes
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, or Node.js
- Familiarity with API integration and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure)
- Understanding of automation tools and conversational AI platforms
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to work independently and adapt to evolving priorities
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Must be a U.S. citizen with work authorization.
- Must work at the North Phoenix/Scottsdale corporate office, no remote or hybrid options.
- Applicants are responsible for their own housing, transportation, and relocation.
- Full-time (~40 hours/week, standard business hours) for internship duration.
- Must be a currently enrolled undergraduate student with a GPA of 3.5 or higher.
- Only Junior or Senior-level students or May 2026 graduates are eligible.
- Strong knowledge of computer hardware and software systems.
- Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities.
