Coeur Alaska is seeking a motivated Metallurgy student to complete a summer internship with our Metallurgy group at the Kensington Mine in 2026 (May through August). Our purpose statement is We Pursue a Higher Standard. Everything we do is fueled by this statement; it is our foundation and inspiration for our actions every day. At Coeur, we PROTECT our people, places and planet, DEVELOP quality resources, growth and plans, and DELIVER impactful results through teamwork.
Coeur Mining, Inc. is a U.S.-based, well-diversified, growing precious metals producer with five wholly-owned operations: the Las Chispas silver-gold mine in Sonora, Mexico, the Palmarejo gold-silver complex in Chihuahua, Mexico, the Rochester silver-gold mine in Nevada, the Kensington gold mine in Alaska and the Wharf gold mine in South Dakota. In addition, the Company wholly-owns the Silvertip polymetallic critical minerals exploration project in British Columbia.
Our summer internship program will provide you with the opportunity to gain real-world, on-the-job experience at one of our US operating mine sites. Interns are mentored throughout the summer by industry professionals and given ownership of projects with a tangible impact on the mine. Internship experience typically spans about 12 weeks.
Each intern will be creatively and technically working together to create a group presentation, highlighting a company area of improvement. The summer internship experience truly culminates with all interns traveling for an expenses paid trip to Chicago!
