2026 Summer Internship - Corporate Legal Trade Practices Reference Guide and 10-State Survey

Do you have a passion for corporate law?

Are you interested in working with an in-house Legal team for one of the major players within the global spirits industry?

Then this summer internship could be the perfect fit for you!

Campari America is looking for a passionate summer intern to support our US Legal team based in New York City. This 8-week paid internship will start June 8 and run through the middle of August 7.

Internship Project Details:

The intern will develop a centralized Trade Practices Reference Guide and conduct a 10-state market survey to help internal teams navigate common trade practice scenarios across key U.S. markets. The guide will compile practical resources—such as FAQs, illustrative examples, and do’s and don’ts—based on internal insights and previously applied solutions. In parallel, the intern will research trade practice regulations across ten priority states, identifying key differences, compliance considerations, and trends that impact marketing, sales, and promotional activities.

The final deliverable will serve as a go-to resource for internal teams, reducing reliance on ad hoc legal consultations, improving consistency and speed in decision-making, and supporting compliant, cross-market strategies. This project addresses a growing need for clarity and alignment as Campari’s commercial footprint expands across diverse regulatory environments.

Key Deliverables:

  • Deliverable 1: Completion of a clear, well-structured reference guide featuring FAQs, illustrative scenarios, and practical do’s and don’ts.
  • Deliverable 2: Delivery of a comparative survey summarizing trade practice research across ten key U.S. states.
  • Deliverable 3: Positive feedback from internal stakeholders on the guide’s clarity, relevance, and usefulness.
  • Deliverable 4: Demonstrated use of the guide by teams to inform decisions and accelerate project timelines.

This project will provide the Intern with experience in:

  • Legal Research & Analysis: Hands-on experience with multi-state trade practice laws and interpreting legal language.
  • Document Development & Strategic Communication: Structuring complex legal insights into a clear, accessible reference guide.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working with legal, sales, and operations teams to gather insights and feedback.
  • Issue Spotting & Scenario Mapping: Identifying compliance risks and applying legal principles to real-world business cases.
  • Project Management: Tracking milestones and managing a phased deliverable process.
  • Business & Industry Insight: Understanding how legal frameworks impact marketing, sales, and operations across key markets.

This project offers a strong foundation for a career in law, compliance, or policy through a blend of research, strategy, and practical engagement.

Interns must be 21+ in age to apply.
